SUMMER READING

Denna sommar skall jag läsa kommersiellt kända böcker från Paulo Coelho och Joyce Carol Oates. När man måste läsa tung studentlitteratur så är det en skön kontrast att läsa mer lätta alternativ från kända författare.

1. I boken "En fager mö" av Joyce Carol Oates behandlar hon teman om en arbetarklassflickas sociala och kulturella mindervärdeskomplex, hennes känsla av utanförskap i den societet med vilken hon tvingas frottera sig i och hur hon tar sig en väg ur den.

2. Boken "Blonde" av Joyce Carol Oates är en storslagen och inlevelsefull roman om Marilyn Monroe , där Joyce Carol Oates ger röst åt barnet, kvinnan och den undergångsdömda celebriteten.
3. I boken "Segraren står ensam" av Paulo Coelho behandlar han teman om sökandet efter vårt sanna jag, rädslan och priset för berömmelse, och om hur rikedom, överflöd och ytlighet kan leda till grusade relationer och förlust av andliga värden.

This summer I will read commercially-known books by Paulo Coelho and Joyce Carol Oates. When you have to read heavy student literature, it is a nice contrast to read more easy options from well known authors.
